Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California
Release of court-ordered Certificate of Deposit.
I have money in the bank in a CD which was put there by court order from a car accident. I know that it is not to be released until I am 18, however I was wondering if there were exceptions that a judge would consider. My parents have lost their business and we can hardly get by. They also lost their car. I am finding it increasingly harder to find a way to get to my college classes. I desperately need a car in order to continue my education. I don't want to have to quit because of this. Would there be a chance the judge would release the money for me to obtain transportation? Thank you for your consideration in this matter. Signed, Rachel

you will have to file a petition in court and ask the judge to do that.

You may apply to the court to release the funds for particular purpose and for good cause. You may be successful under the facts. Please call me directly at (619) 222-3504.
