Remove executor from Trust

Mother in law passed away, left all assets in a trust. There are 5 kids/beneficiaries. She named a 1st, 2nd & 3rd executor. The other 4 have lost confidence in his ability to do his job. How do they remove him and appoint the second choice?

to remove the currently acting trustee of the trust a petition will need to be filed with the superior court probate department. see probate code 15640 through 15645 at:
