Renting in a probate house

We recently found out that the house me and my family were living in is now in probate and we have to move. My grandmother is 84 years old and we just received the letter stating we had to move. How long does a person have to move

The letter will terminate the tenancy as of a particular date. They have to give you at least 30 days notice. If you are not out by that time, they have to evict you by a summary procedure called an unlawful detainer. This takes at least 6 weeks and may take longer. You can and should hire a lawyer to run interference for you. I am assuming that the house is rented month to month and not for a longer term. If that is not correct then my answer would be different.

move as soon as you can. if you don't you'll be evicted and that will make it difficult to rent another place.
