Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

Request Copy of Will

If a family member has possesion of Grandmother's will, can you demand a copy from her and is there a time limit for her to produce the will? Or do you have to file a Petition with the Court to get a copy of the will? If there is a time limit can you please provide me with the code/rule number to tell/show her that?

Re: Request Copy of Will

If grandmother is alive, it is no one's business unless she wants to share the contents.

If Grandma has died, then whoever holds the will is required to file it with the court within 30 days of death. At that point, by can get a copt from the court.
