Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California
I requested an accounting regading some trust funds and the trustee refused to provide one so I filed a petition with the court. My question is the other side required to give a written response and if so how many days do they have to respond to the petition? Can they just show up and present defenses at the hearing without providing the court with written objections?

Generally an objection or opposition must be filed prior to the date of the hearing. Check the local court rules for the specifics.
