Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California
What are the responsibilities of an exectuor, there are three siblings involed, and I am the stepmother. Do I by law have to present itemized accounting of the monthly upkeep of the estate? Do I have the right to not provide that info to the other three owners of the estate.

You do not necessarily have to provide monthly information to the heirs of the estate, but you do have to provide an accounting of your activities as the law requires. The only exception is if the heirs sign a written waiver of their right to an accounting.
I would agree with Mr. Perry. However, there are many responsibilities that an executor has at law and may have if a will specifies others. Violation of these responsibilities can lead to personal liability for the executor. You should contact an attorney for assistance if you have questions about these duties.
Transparency goes a long way in avoiding future issues. The more that a peronal representative wants to not disclose to the beneficiares the more it would seem the representative is doing something improper.
