Responsiblity of a Trustee & Executor of a Will

I would like to know what the responsiblity of a a TRustee is and what the responsibility of an Executor of a Will is.

My father who is deceased is named in his sister's will. The Trustee of the Trust and the Executor of the Will are different people. Neither notified me and my siblings that my father was named. Whose resposibility was it to notify us?

The sale of real property is involved, what are our rights as heirs to the selling of this property.
