revocable family trust

I have a revocable family trust. Is it legal for me

to cross out a successor trustee and appoint another

successor trustee, initial this and date it.

No! See an attorney to do it--this usually requires making a notarized amendment to the trust. It's a simple procedure, and shouldn't cost very much.

no, you need to amend the trust under the terms of the trust. any lawyer can do that for you for about $50.
