Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California
We have a revocable Living Trust with the house and some CDs in it. If my husband has to be placed in a nursing home, will they take half of our assets, including the house?
When asked, do we "own" our house that is in the trust?

You do own the house, and a living trust does not provide protection from Medi-Call recovery. That said, no on can take the house from you as long as it is your residence.
If your husband is going on Medi-Cal, and you are concerned about preserving as many assets as possible for your children, there are strategies available and it would be worth your while to consult a qualified professional.
