Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

How to revoke a living trust?

Will be doing a new husband-wife living trust with an estate planning attorney soon. How do we, or how will that attorney, go about revoking the old living trust one of us previously had (in maiden name) from another estate attorney to whom we will not be returning? Thank you for your thoughts.

I have no idea about the size and nature of your estate, but if it is not worth at least $2,000,000 of net worth you probably don't need a lawyer. You can tell by reading the book "Create Your Legacy & Save the American Middle Class". It explains all of this in simple English and also tells you how to revoke a living trust. You can get the book at www.yourlivinglegacy.info. It's written in plain simple English to serve the lay public in the American Middle Class. Check it out. I don't know what you expect to spend for an attorney, but you may not need to spend that money at all. If you do, fine. You can get a lot of informaton in that book and at the web site.

It's up to you.

The new document simply states that it revokes the past trust/estate planning documents. You may want to have the new attorney write to old attorney advising them of the revocation and to put the letter in your file. Also you may want to obtain and destroy all past original estate planning documents.
