Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

Settlement

we received a settlement on a disputed trust and it was approved by court. they all split their share 1/3 for three siblings. however, i have worked hard on this case for 2 years with the attorney and now that my husband in which he never participated on the case recvd the check on his name and now he is not willing to share it with me. he feels he is entitle to this money because he was part of the settlement. i feel betrayed that he would just take the money after what i have worked hard on. what can i do to get my share and move on. i was going to sign the check on his name since we have a joint account..but i was afraid i can get into trouble. what can i do?

Re: Settlement

I'm not sure I understand. But, if the settlement disbursed the funds properly according to the court's order, accept it and go on with your life. If your husband considers the money more important that your feelings, you have marital issues and I suggest couples therapy. It is not a legal issue.
