Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

My sister handled the estate of a decedent which went through profate. No specific bequests were made. The death occured in 2011 with an estate value of less than $1 million. All distributions were made this year, 2012. What IRS forms have to be sent to the beneficiaries?
