Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California
I have the software to make a living will. Does it need to be notorized?

Wills don't have to be notarized, they must be properly attested, or be holographic. It's not clear from your post whether you are referring to a will, or a health care directive. The term living will is a misnomer, and is often used to refer to health care directives.

The software should tell you what is needed.
