Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

my son passed away and his girlfriend was placed right next to his resting place and her side of the family place a picture of her and my son on her headstone is that legal and can i get it removed? thank you

I'm sorry your son passed away, but I'm glad he was able to find love in this life. You might be able to have the picture removed, but in my opinion this would be an odious and despicable act on your part.

technically (legally) that is their property and as long as it is in keeping with the rules of the cemetery I dont' see how you could get it changed or removed. Ask to see a copy of the regulations regarding headstones just to be sure. I am sorry for your loss.
