Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California
Out of state bank account
Decedent was a California resident (10+ years). All Assets were covered by a trust except for a bank savings account in New
York under 50K. New York bank Lawyer says this has to go through probate. Shouldn't the California Affidavit for collection
of personal property be sufficient for New York to transfer funds to me?

banks are often a NIGHTMARE when it comes to these matters. You can work your way through the red tape yourself or hire an attorney that will do the same, but just faster.
