I am supposed to be the beneficiary of my
mother's pension. Who do I contact about her
death and how do I make sure her pension from
the union goes to me?

It may be a good idea for you and your mother to contact the pension administrator now to see exactly what benefits you're going to be entitled to. Most traditional pensions don't have any continuing benefits for a non-spouse beneficiary other than a single modest death benefit.
