Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California
Tracing Trust Stock Records
There were many Stocks named in the Trust of the deceased, that the Trustee simply states are sold or not there.
Can the beneficiaries require the Trustee to give them all the Stock Brokers Account Records from the time the Trust was made (10 yrs.) to the date of deceased. OR from the time the trustee was appointed. The same brokers were used for the 10 yrs. and have those records.
How do the beneficiaries get these records quickly & legally ??? AND
If there are stocks transferred to the trustee, by their power, what can the beneficiaries do??

Re: Tracing Trust Stock Records
Your answer may depend on the terms of the trust? Must the trustee provide beneficiaries with accountings? Usually yes, so ask for accountings for all years in question.
