In California, can a convicted felon serve as a trustee of a revocable trust?

Sure, and I've even represented some in that capacity. It of course is more difficult to keep things moving if that felon is still in prison, but the right answer will depend on the circumstances, including whether their past crime was financial or not, whether they're a significant beneficiary and what types of safeguard mechanisms are in place to protect the beneficiaries.
