Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California
Trust Estate Distribution
My grandmother died in 2007. She had a living trust in which my uncle was executor and I am a beneficiary. I've requested all trust documents and statements of accounting many times to no avail.
I want to know what next-step options are appropriate, along with their associated costs and possible results.

Re: Trust Estate Distribution
The next best option is to hire an attorney who can demand the information on your behalf under Probate Code Section 16061.7. If your uncle still refuses to provide it, the next step would be to initiate court proceedings.
I would be happy to discuss this further with you, including the costs.
Re: Trust Estate Distribution
I urge you to consult with a trust administration attorney right away. In California, a beneficiary is entitled as a matter of law to these things. You only have a certain amount of time to lodge any objections with the court, so I would hustle on this. Best, Roberta Avrutin, Beverly Hills, CA
