Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

Trust

My mother passed away 5 years ago and is a beneficiary of a trust. My cousin (a lawyer) is the trustee and we have yet to hear from her. The trust accumulates monies monthly. We have received no accounting or information and she will not return calls, mail, etc. What can I do to get a response from her?

Re: Trust

Hire a lawyer. If she does not respond informally to your satisfaction, the lawyer can compel an accounting in court.

File a petition with the Court if an attorney letter does not work.

Re: Trust

Do you have a copy of the trust? If the funds are to pass to her children in the event of her death, then you should have a copy. Has your mother's estate been settled? Contact me directly, free consultation always.
