trust questions

The vehicle was licensed in a non-community property state by my deceased mother and purchased prior to marrying my stepfather, also she had money in an overseas account prior to their marriage, the trustee has not disclosed any accounting of assets or expenses as of yet, do I need an attorney? or should I trust that it will be done correctly and above board
