Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

Trustee going back on word and charging for work not done

I am a beneficiary of a trust held in CA although I reside in Oklahoma. Current trustee took over after contacting a lawyer when old trustee died with no successor listed. Lawyer got his wife to be trustee. She said she was going to go to court to have trust terminated at my and other beneficiaries request, but when I made comments to her husband that he didn't like he talked her into not doing it, yet they are still charging us for legal work in preparation for going to court. What can I do?

You really should obtain legal representation of your interests in the trust. You may want to petition the court to have the trustee removed, and to request fee arbitration through the local bar if you believe the trust is being overcharged.
