Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California
Trustee of an Estate
I was appointed the trustee of my mother's estate; she passed away a little over one year ago. It was very simple, divide 3 ways (3 siblings) and distribute. I am the middle child, the older brother, the bully in the family, has created many problems because he cannot get over it. The problems include forgery, death threats and more. The distribution has been over for months. I received a notice of hearing, he is wants to have me removed as trustee. I documented everything and did exactly what I was suppose to do. I do not know how to answer to the court to this hearing, AND how do I produce to the court my documents?

Re: Trustee of an Estate
You need to get a lawyer. Normally, a trust will pay for the expenses of the trustee in defending the trust, but you would need to look at the trust itself to determine that.
