Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

Is trustee/sister abusing power

My wife & sister in law inherited their mothers house and estate. My wife and I had moved in with her mother 5 months prior to her death. Now the sister is trustee of will & estate. She has given no accounting of estate funds and is demanding payoff for the house. Real estate market here is collapsing & she now wants more than half the house is worth. She is constantly threatening to evict. What can we do to get fair treatment & disclosure? Thank You for any advice you can offer.

You can demand a copy of the trust agreement, if you do not already have it. If she is violating the terms of the trust you can sue her for an accounting and damages, and ask the court to order appointment of a new substitute trustee.
