Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California
Trust/Will:
Two Co-Executors dividing assets amongst themselves and a 3rd co executor (who is an alternate co-exec, only co-exec if one of the other 2 is not able). The 3rd was left out of ALL distribution meetings. They refuse to provide detailed accounting. We have proof they messed with some of the numbers but they are threatening us with the no contest clause when questioned. All we want are the copies of all paperwork. What law allows us to demand the paperwork without triggering the no contest clause?

Asking for an accounting is just demanding what the probate code requires. They have an obligation to provide the information and can not divide the assets until probate is over with. You probably need a letter from an attorney to scare them into complying with the law.
