Are you looking for advice about estate planning? If so, more information is required in order to give advice on how to plan your estate. Your marital status, whether you have children, the types of assets you own, the value of your assets and the type of beneficiaries you have all have to be considered when advising you regarding estate planning.
Like Ms. Rouse, I'm having trouble understanding your question. If you are asking about estate planning due to your lottery winning, then you will need to provide more information such as Ms.Rouse has pointed out. Additional information needed would be your estate planning goals and your current age. The reason age can be important is because we all have different goals at different point of life. For example, an older person may be concerned about qualifying for Medi-Cal for long term health care issues, or retirement planning could be an issue. A younger person who has children may be concerned about providing for their children's education.
I'm not sure what you are referring to when you ask what fees you should expect. But, if you are asking whether you will have to pay taxes on your winnings, you will likely be required to fill out a tax withholding form prior to receiving your funds. A tax professional can assist you with the correct tax filings concerning these winnings.
Both answers above are very correct. You will have to pay income taxes on the winnings. If it is really a substantial amount, you should consult a taxation expert to determine how best to keep the taxes as low as possible. In reading information on line, do not rely upon anything if not from a professional in that area.
