Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

Unclaimed Property

My father passed away 1-1/2 years ago. The title to his car was in the name of his ex-wife and himself. He did not transfer the title to himself after their divorce even though he was awarded the car in the divorce settlement. I can not locate the ex-wife because she might live in Maine but her last known number does not work. I can't find her and the car is sitting in a driveway in southern california. i can't sell the car because it is in her name. i am paying the insurance on it and want to be done with this headache. How do I get the car transfered to my name? I am my father's only child and beneficiary. Thank you in advance.
