Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California
When updating a Living Trust for my mom: IF SHE REQUESTS that I be present (she has slight dimensia and gets confused) when updating with her attorney, does the attorney have the right to say "no" ?

The attorney is supposed to do what the client requests, but can tell the client why he/she feels that way. The real problem is whether your mother is competent to make any changes. You may need a medical report as to that, unless you are the only beneficiary and only potential heir so that no one would raise the issue.
