Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

Valid will in another state

While residents of Texas, we had wills drawn up. We are now living in California. Are these wills valid in this state?

Yes, the wills are valid. However, they still should be reviewed by a California lawyer because Texas community property laws are different than California community property laws, and the difference may mean that your California community property does not pass as you would expect or want it to.
