Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

Validity of will authored in California

My friend is a citizen of the Dominican Republic, residing here in California legally. Her original will was authored and is on file in the Domincan Republic, but she now wishes to alter the will before she undergoes surgery latyer this month here in California. The inquiry is this: if she authors a valid will, properly witnessed and/or notarized in California, and then has it delivered to her ''counsel'' in the Domincan Republic, will her California-written will be copnsidered valid?

That is a matter for dominican law, not California law.

To get a good answer to your specific question you need to consult with an attorney from the Dominican Republic.
