Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

Voiding a will

A copy of my mom's will was found with the words VOID written on it and

initialed and dated by her (immediately after the word VOID). Can this be used to

contest the validity of the original will? She crafted this will in 1996 and in June

of this year, she apparently wrote Void and initialed and dated her copy at

home.
