no will, daddy died, house and bank accounts in joint names

My dad just died. He had no will. He had put my name on the house so I am joint tenant he also put my name on the bank accounts as joint owner. He did not have many assests this house an old car and a boat. I gave the boat and the car to my brother. He had a lot of credit card debe(my father) can they make me sell the house to pay these debts? the house is homesteaded. My brother wants nothing, except the car and the boat, my father told me just before he died he wanted my brother to have these thing. The house is not wirth much. I need help to understand what Im suppose to do.

If your list of the bank accounts as a joint tenant, the money is yours. You can simply withdrawn from the bank and place it in your own account. As far as a house, you need to file a document with the county recorder reporting the death of the joint tenant. That will have the effect of placing house entirely in your name.
