who may see will?

How does a person who is named in will be sure the will is

honored? Also, is there anything a person can do to see the will?

Re: who may see will?

I am assuming that the person who died resided in California. The will ir required to be lodged (filed) with the Superior Court in the County in which the person died. You can go to the Superior Court clerk and ask to see a copy.

If it is not filed, and the estate is large enough (over $100,000), then anyone with an interest in the estate (child, spouse, creditor) can petition the court to begin probate proceedings.
