My mother passed away, had a will, house closed esrow today, when will the siblings named in the will receive funds?

Was there only a will and no trust? Was there a Probate to decipher the will? Remember a will only determines how the estate will be distributed, it still requires court intervention via a Probate; unlike a trust.
