Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California
Will, Trust
If a neighbor wrote a will stating he will give partial of his asset for my family since we have taken care of him more than his son. But how do we know if there was such a will after he passed away, is there a way to see or find out if the will is publicized? My neighbor has passed away approx 7 months ago but his son has not mentioned a clue about anything. Please tell me what i need to do to check if he really left any assets for my family or not.

Re: Will, Trust
Check at the county recorder in the grantor/grantee index under your neighbor's name to see if the property is still in his name or not. Also check at the Superior Court with the Probate Clerks' office to see if the will has been probated.
