Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

Will/Account viewing

My grandfather died 2 years ago and left his account in his sons hands to take care of my grandmother with, pay the bills and so on, while she was still living. My grandmother is illiterate and really has no clue as far as what is being done with the account or anything other than what her son tells her. He left a will and I know I am included in it, but nothing is really to be done while she is living. My concern is that he is using the money on himself (buying new cars and campers and so on, while not working) and that she will be left with nothing. We have asked to the lawyer to see the will but he won't cooperate. What can I do?

If there was a will, it would need to be probated. If there was a trust, it would not. In the case of a will, it must be filed with the court in the county in which your grandfather resided at the time of his death.

You may need to hire an attorney to get to the bottom of things.
