A neighbor of mine married 4 25+ years lost her husband 2 cancer ths pst Xmas the will of his was smthng the 2 of them did 2 gether the hm they lvd in (she still resides) belongs 2 her late husbands fthr whom they mvd in with when his health began failing so she cld take care of him the hm and prprty has been in trst overseen by a conservator after her husbands death his family have made her feel like she is hired help aware her husband had willed to his family not really considering her as such. Within the last mnth she found a birth certificate which 4 all appearances is 4 a brother 2 her late husband her thought is if ths brother is found it wld mk hm the nxt of kin whn she brought this to the attntion of the attorney he said if he comes forward he will have him disinherited. My question is shld my frnd be represented by an atty and is the atty obligated to tell the other family members tht she fnd ths birth certificate?
