My father in law died 6 months ago, my mother in law was not mentioned in the will, is she intitled to anything? they were married at the time of his passing. we recently learned his will was changed to exclude grandchildren and we are not sure if he was competent at the time what can we do

Yes, your mother-in-law may be entitled to a portion of her husband's estate as a pretermitted spouse. It also sounds like there are legal grounds upon which to contest the changes to your father-in-law's will.
