Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

Wills

My grandmother drafted a will in the late 1970's (I personally took her to the lawyer). After her death in 2004, her second husband destoyed it. Soon after her passing, he became a ward of the state. He told the case workers that there was no will. He passed away on 1/5/09. How do we find the original will if the lawyer is not available anymore? My mother should be entitled to my grandmothers belongings and house. What do we do?

Re: Wills

Beneficiaries are entitled to copies of the bequesting instrument. Therefore, your mother should have a copy of the will. What evidence do you have of the will? Contact me directly.
