Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

wills of parent

I would like to find out how to go about finding information on where to look for a will that was written in 1990 by a parent that died that same year. the child of the parent has no information about the will. the parent died in california in 1990. could you tell me where to look and how this person can get a copy of the will.

There is nowhere to "look" for a will. If the will was probated through the probate courts, they should have a copy of the will in their possession. If there is an estate, and it has never gone through probate, it must do so as soon as possible.
