Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California
Wills, probate and Executer
when my friend passed away he owned 11 houses, cars ,guns, and so on. In his will he gives 2 of them to friends, and he states that so much cash goes to someone else. Does the Executer get to keep the rest and do what ever he wants with the other houses, cars not stated in the will?

Re: Wills, probate and Executer
only if so stated in the will. most wills have a residue clause. it usually gives the residue to heirs. but i need to see the will to answer your question with any degree of certainty

No. The will will make specific gifts and leave the rest of his estate to the residuary beneficiary. Check the copy of the will. It is submitted in probate.
