Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California
Are wills recorded? Can someone (survivor) tear up a will if they don't want the content to be known?

Wills are not recorded. There is always the danger of someone destroying the Will, but there are some safe guards that can be used to reduce the likelihood of that occurring.

Wills are not recorded and there is always a possibility that a will could be lost or destroyed (either inadvertently or intentionally). Generally a copy of a will (and sometimes the original will) will be kept by the attorney that prepared it just because of such situations.
