Woman needs healthcare

A friend of mine in Los Angeles is scheduled to receive a settlement from a will. She is in need of medical care, but she has no funds to pay for it. If she does not receive medical care, she will die. Her settlement from the will should be released in the next six months. Can there be anything done to help this woman get money for health care?

You didn't indicate where the will is being probated. If it is in Los Angeles, there are several companies, one is called Heir Buy-Out, who sometimes purchase gifts under a will. This may be one source. The other option is to explain the urgency of your situation to the adminstrator and see if he or she can expedite the administration.
