Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

i have about 120K in knee surgeries(both knees) do to a fall a work and my lawyer said that all he could get me wa 11K in damages and compasation.I think he sold out.I have been waiting about 5 years to settle,I have seen the doctors many times and this does not sound ethical on the lawers part????please call me @ 209-489-6283 or e-mail is fine

You do not say whether you have a third party action [suit against someone other than your employer or fellow employee] . If it is only a Workers' Compensation case, then the award is based upon your degree of permanent disability and not the cost of medical treatment, time it has taken you to recover, amount of pain you endured. WC cases do not pay that much compared to personal injury suits, but you alos donot have to show any fault by your employer. ask your attorney to explain why the results are as he has told you.
