Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

i need advice

i have an existing workman comps claim and an attorney who says he can represent me against the casino and their insurance carrier which is indian related and is a federal comp case. he sent me paperword requesting a retainer along with saying i would have to pay all costs occured which would not be deducted from the settlement. does this seem like a normal practice or do most attorneys in comp cases work on a percentage of your recovery

Re: i need advice

I practice California Law and not Tribal Law, there are very different laws governing Tribal Law. You should re direct your question to an attorney that practices Tribal Law.

I am sorry I am unable to answer you question.

cases in the federal jurisdication do not typically follow workers' compensation statutes, rules, or case lawe. You might seek a second opinion or offer of representation.
