Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

need advice

hello , my question is,

i broke my foot at a job about 2 monthes ago, i reported it right away filed a claim, but it took 7 weeks for them to make it go through, at the time of my injury i was making about $1080 a week, at 27 an hour, but when they sent me the workers comp check, it was based off $ 405 dollars a week, and i get 270 a week out of it,

somone told me they go back one year to date, and last year my my worst year in construction i was on unemployment, ( making $ 450 a week the max) i was wondering if it would be worth my while to get a lawyer, to get what i feel i should be getting, because if i was not injured, i would have kept working there and i had other places i was going to work

thank you

Re: need advice

Your question is not very clear. Are you receiving EDD benefits or you are receiving TD benefits directly from the insurance company? We highly recommend that you retain an experienced worker's Compensation attorney in order to get you a reasonable settlement in addition to Temporary disability benefits. If you need representation call us directly at 213.388.7070.
