AME re-eval?

In Feb. 2006, I had a close-head injury while working. The accident ended my management career. It made me financially unstable...lost my Mercedes and house, and most important is my ''health.'' I suffer neck pain, constant back pain, severe headache, and recently short term memory lost...etc. I'm only 26 yrs. old, but sometimes I feel like I'm 76 instead.

My PTP released me and stated that I have reached MMI back in April 07, even though I'm still in great pain and my TTD ended on June 07. Not long after that, the IC scheduled a re-examination appointment with an AME for me at the end of July 07, but then they sent me a letter stated ''The Agreed Medical Re-examination appointment previously scheduled for July 07 with Dr. ''X'' has been canceled.'' What is the reason behind this??? This Dr. ''X'' was one of the three AME I saw last year. He was also one of the first 3 AME that I had visited. I'm very confused.

My attorney is great and has done a great amount of work for almost 2yrs. Lately he is kind of busy, therefore I don't want to bug him with every little problems or questions I have.

Thank you for taking the time to read and answer my questions.

Re: AME re-eval?

It sounds like your attorney does not feel that moving forward with an AME is not in your best interest. Perhaps you have a great, admissible medical report with a high PD rating. Why should he wreck that with an AME? Who knows why your attorney canceled the appointment? Ask him, he'll tell you, even if it means bugging him a little.

Good luck.
