Legal Question in Workers Comp in California
what if i arrived to work late, and my boss just sends me home after five minutes of work, is she required to pay me for the time i was there or do i get a set minimum of hours?

Yes. You are entitled to reporting time pay. If you are sent home after working less than half of your scheduled shift because of insufficient work for you to do, you must be paid reporting time pay for half of your scheduled shift. If you were scheduled for a 6 hour shift, this would be 3 hours.
