Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

do i need an attorney to cash out my medical? I have life time medical and my adjuster asked if i wanted to cash out my medical. I am 41 and still have some pain.

Technically, no. If the Workers Comp judge thinks the insurance company gave you enough to cover all your needs for future treatment, you could do this without an attorney.

So you have 35 years of treatment due before Medicare kicks in.

Have you priced out what 45 years of doctor's visits and prescription pain kills and liver enzyme tests and blood work will cost?

I'm guessing the adjuster will offer you $5,000 and you'll think that's peachy... and you'll blow that and then you'll need a shoulder arthroscopy and it's $27,000 and you can't afford it and then what?
