Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

My attorney wants to charge 25% fee in my workers comp settlement. Is this legal my case is in California

First, are you sure you're not referring to a 3rd party civil case? If not, then I would ask if your case has had some extraordinary factors to it which would cause your attorney to litigate well beyond the norm. If not (and without knowing anything more than what you provided in your question), the general legal max would be 15pct. For your attorney to receive more, he would have to sell his position to the court. Good luck.
